Giving Up on Portfolio Perfection

I spent years trying to design the perfect personal site. Dozens of repos, countless feature branches, at least three ” final” versions. This is what I landed on.

Building things for the web has always been about the balance between what’s possible and what’s practical. In the beginning, it was all about the “cool” factor—animations, complex layouts, and every new library I could get my hands on.

As time went on, I realized that the best code is the code that doesn’t cause a headache for the next person (which is usually me, six months later).

The Stack

This site is built with:

• Astro: For that sweet, sweet performance.
• Tailwind CSS: Because utility-first just makes sense.
• React: For the bits that actually need to move. (not much yet!)

It’s simple, it’s fast, and it finally feels like home.
